The Automotive Equipment and Roads-building Сollege of the Odessa national polytechnic university’s history begins in 1945. The Automotive Equipment and Roads-building Сollege relates to training highly qualified experts in the field of “road construction”, “operation and repair of highways and air stations”, “automobile”.

There are 3 day time departments and one Extramural Studies Department in the structure of the college:

The Automobile department:

• Car and engines repairs and service;
• Manufacture of automobiles and tractors;
• Tool manufacture;

The Road-building Department:

• Construction, operation and repair of highways and air stations;
• Operation and repair of hoisting-and-transport, building, road machines and the equipment;

The Managements and economy Department:

• Book keeping;
• Economy of the enterprise;
• The organization of transportations and management at the motor transport.

Today the payroll of Deparment numbers 114 lecturers that including 1 senior teachers and 2 candidates of sciences.

Every conveniencies required for efficient learning and teaching process are available to the staff and trainees; including the ample auditoriums, mumerous classrooms and laboratories, fitted with up-to-date electronic equipment and technical auxiliaries, computing laboratories. All the foreign and non-resident students are lodged at the campus.

Deep knowledge obtained by  college students relates to such areas:  electronics, computer technics, equipments for detailed diagnostics of automobiles, recordings and processing of the information, protection of the information and so on.

After major studies completing the graduates have the possibility to:

• continue studying at the Odessa national polytechnic university (at once on ІІІ study year);
• continue studying at the Odessa state academy of construction and architecture on the reduced term of training;
• to receive the diploma of the younger expert (the correspondence form of training);
• to receive driver licence (category "B", "C").

The  college graduates’ further employments are various:

• Banks;
• Tax services;
• Trade enterprises;
• Machine-building factories;
• Automobile factories and so on.

Studies duration:

Younger expert - 4 years on the basis of 9 classes, except for such specialties as “Economy and business”(3 years).

Younger expert - 3 years on the basis of 11 classes, except for such specialities as “Economy and business”(2 years).
